About JEE Exam

Joint Entrance Examination is a computer-based exam, conducted in two steps.

1 JEE Main

  • Conducted twice a year (Jan & April).
  • Gateway for Engineering aspirants to 31 NITs, 23 IITs, 20 GFTIs.
  • Single choice objective paper (MCQ) with equal weightage in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.
  • Duration: 3 Hours (Online).
  • Marking: +4 for correct, -1 for wrong, 0 for not attempted.

2 JEE Advanced

  • Second stage of entrance test for admission to IITs, IISc, IIST.
  • Only Top 2,40,000 (approx) successful candidates of JEE Main are eligible.
  • Conducted by the seven zonal IITs.
  • Two Objective online papers (3 hours each) with equal weightage to PCM.
  • Held every year tentatively in the 3rd week of May.

About MHT-CET

MHT CET [Maharashtra Common Entrance Test] is a common state-level entrance exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. It offers admission to undergraduate engineering and pharmacy courses (B.Tech/B.E, B.Pharmacy) in Maharashtra.

The exam is a three-hour computer-based test with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Approximately 20% weightage is given to class 11th curriculum and 80% weightage to class 12th curriculum.

Exam Pattern

  • Paper 1 (Mathematics): 50 Questions [10 from 11th, 40 from 12th]. 2 marks per correct answer. Total: 100 Marks.
  • Paper 2 (Physics & Chemistry): 50 Qs each. 1 mark per correct answer. Total: 100 Marks.
  • No Negative Marking. Total Duration: 180 mins.
